Sports Coach/Assistant – Leading Children’s Play and Sport Provision Company
Southbank International School, W1B 1QR
18 hours a week during school term-time (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 11:30am-12:40pm and Wed 12:30-1:30pm and Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 3-6pm)
Up to 40 hours are also available during school holidays if you're available and interested
£10-£13 per hour, including London Weighting (depending on age, experience and qualifications)
We are recruiting for the leading provider of out of school hours and wraparound childcare for primary school children in the UK and they are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about children’s sport, play and activity, and someone who can inspire the generation of children!
Transport links to this school are really convenient with links to most London Underground lines.
This role offers real variation and experience with lunchtime hours supporting children to safely navigate London streets to travel to Regents Park to run sports sessions and after school hours taking children to nearby leisure centres and outdoor sports sessions to run more sports activities! All of this is done with school staff in support.
As a Sports Coach in this role you not only need to have knowledge and a love of sports, you will also need to understand the safeguarding and safety implications of responsibily managing children in public areas.

- A Passion for Working with Children - we're looking for someone to provide inclusive, fun, and engaging provision for the children in your care, while inspiring them to explore their interests
- Enthusiasm and Organisation Skills - you will be assisting with the planning and delivery of activities with structure and enthusiasm. This includes a wide range of activities, including multi-sports, indoor and outdoor games, arts & crafts, downtime and structured play
- Responsibility and Reliability - the safety and enjoyment of the children in your care will be your responsibility and all team members are required to follow specific policies and procedures, including completing Accident and Incident Forms and Health & Safety checks as needed, and the children and families also benefit from consistently reliable staff
- Communication and Engagement - all staff are expected to conduct themselves professionally and communicate effectively with all team members, parents, children and schools on a daily basis. You will be a representative of the organisation's brand so it's key to always be a pleasure to be around!
