Withington, Manchester
2-6pm Monday to Friday role during term-time with flexible schedule available during school holidays (provisions operate from 8.30am-5.45pm)
£14.50 per hour (annual salary of £15,733)
THIS ROLE REQUIRES A MINIMUM LEVEL 3 EARLY YEARS QUALIFICATION
We are recruiting for a Wraparound Childcare Manager to join a childcare provider based in Manchester who operate a daily After School Club and School Holiday provision out of a Primary School in Withington.
They have been operating for over 10 years, with humble beginnings out of the local Scouts hut, and they now benefit from having a really strong relationship with their partner school and are looking for a qualified manager to join their team to work alongside their established team of both qualified and unqualified play workers.
You will lead a team of 5-8 staff daily, overseeing the safe operations of an after school provision aimed at ensuring a creative and fun environment for the regular 50 children attending and holiday clubs that have 20-30 children attending, including Early Years/Nursery age groups.

What you will need to bring:
- A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years childcare qualification
- Experience in managing a team of staff in a childcare/children's activity environment
- Experience of working with children aged 3-11 years old
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted and safeguarding policies and procedures
- Confident communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including children, staff, parents, teachers, and senior school staff
This job will require an enhanced DBS check plus satisfactory references and other pre employment background checks. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
