Before & After School Club Assistant – Leading Children’s Play and Sport Provision Company

School Locations in Colchester and surrounding area (CO2 7RU, CO5 8QX, CO6 2RH, CO16 0BP)

Provision Hours = 7:30-9am and 3pm-6pm Monday to Friday (Weekly hours can be flexible based on individual availability)

£10-£13 per hour (depending on age, experience and qualifications)

Please note: Due to the remote location of some schools, the ability to drive will be advantageous

We are recruiting for a leading provider of out of school hours and wraparound childcare for primary school children in Essex. This company continues to grow in size, quality and scope every year and are looking for someone who has either ad-hoc or regular availability to join their team.

As a Casual/Bank Play Worker you don't need any specific skills, but you will ideally have some experience working with children and...

- A Passion for Working with Children - we're looking for someone to provide inclusive, fun, and engaging provision for the children in your care, while inspiring them to explore their interests
- Enthusiasm and Organisation Skills - you will be assisting with the planning and delivery of activities with structure and enthusiasm. This includes a wide range of activities, including multi-sports, indoor and outdoor games, arts & crafts, downtime and structured play
- Responsibility and Reliability - the safety and enjoyment of the children in your care will be your responsibility and all team members are required to follow specific policies and procedures, including completing Accident and Incident Forms and Health & Safety checks as needed, and the children and families also benefit from consistently reliable staff
- Communication and Engagement - all Play Workers are expected to conduct themselves professionally and communicate effectively with all team members, parents, children and schools on a daily basis. You will be a representative of the organisation's brand so it's key to always be a pleasure to be around!
