Job Title: Area Afterschool Manager
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire (Managing 3 settings) S75 1LD, S75 1AQ, and S71 3AF.
Salary: £15-£20 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week (Split shift – morning & afternoon)
25 hours in the settings
5 hours admin time (work from home)
We are working with a company ath provides high-quality wraparound care, creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children before and after school. We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Afterschool Club Manager to oversee the daily operations of three settings, ensuring exceptional service and smooth-running clubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage & oversee the daily operations across three out-of-school club settings.
- Lead & support staff to deliver a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted regulations.
- Work closely with schools to maintain strong relationships and align with their policies.
- Manage bookings & attendance, ensuring smooth operation and capacity management.
- Handle parent communications, addressing queries and concerns professionally.
- Support recruitment & training of staff to maintain high-quality provision.
- Oversee financial administration, including invoicing, payments, and budget monitoring.
- Plan engaging activities, ensuring a balance of play, learning, and well-being.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple targets and deadlines
- Talented administrator with attention to detail, ensuring all records and paperwork are up to date and accurate
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and ability to implement procedures effectively
- Excellent people management skills, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a staff team
