Playworker - School Club
LOCATION – RH6 7BZ
SALARY - Up to £11.50ph
07:25-8:55am & 3:00-6:00pm Monday-Friday
22.5 hours
We are recruiting for a well-known childcare company that prides itself on being an inclusive, play-based provision. Their goal is to provide children with high-quality care and play experiences, supporting personal development by learning new skills through a variety of enriching activities that are inclusive to all children who attend.
Playworkers organise, plan and take part in play and leisure activities for children before and after school. We're looking for someone to provide inclusive, fun, and engaging provision for the children in your care, while inspiring them to explore their interests.
A little bit about you…
• NVQ Level 2 in Playwork/Childcare or other equivalent training
• Great leadership qualities
• Previous childcare and/or Playwork experience
• Building positive and professional relationships
• Caring and sensitive to children’s individual needs
• Good Knowledge and understanding of the Ofsted Welfare Requirements, including the EYFS.
• Active and energetic. Prepared to get involved in children’s play.
• Good Knowledge and understanding of the Playwork Principles
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with sufficient understanding of
• Team player and ability to use initiative
• Flexible and reliable
• Critical thinking and problem solving. A ‘can do’ approach to the role Budgeting
• Prepared to train and learn new skills Good IT skills

Desirable qualifications…
Current Paediatric First Aid certificate
Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3
Basic safeguarding training and/or DSL training
Current and valid driving licence
