Area Operations Manager in Childcare
Salary: £35k - £38k (depending on experience & qualifications) plus work travel expenses
Office in Binfield with regular travel to
school partners in the following areas:
Wokingham Borough, Reading, West Berkshire, Didcot.
40 hours per week / Monday-Friday role
About the client:
Our client Founded in 2004, offers a diverse range of services, including Wraparound Care, School PPA cover, Holiday Clubs, and HAF Programmes. With 24 current wraparound care provisions and plans to expand further within the next year, they operate throughout the UK, with a strong presence in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
They have a dedicated team of 80-100 staff members, doubling during holiday camps to meet the increased demand. They pride themselves on putting customers and children at the heart of everything they do. What truly sets them apart is the family atmosphere they cultivate, making them not just a provider but a close-knit community.
The Role:
You will be required to manage all aspects of the business on a day-to-day basis and support fellow managers within their channels.
As an Area Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the business on a day-to-day basis which includes:
- Scheduling, managing staff rotas and sickness
- Communicating effectively with staff and schools (this is a must)
- HR - Staff training, Recruitment and staff allocation across all the provisions in the account.
- Contract Management - Oversee contract negotiation, renewals and compliance with terms and conditions.
- Quality Assurance Checks
- Account Management of up to 15 schools
What are we looking for:
- Knowledge and experience in the sector
- Management background and have exposure to managing a variety of different teams.
- People person who can engage with their team and keep them motivated.
- Communication and customer service background to build effective relationships with schools and the SLT.
- Background in coaching (Desirable)
- Adaptable and flexible
- Driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted framework.
